Firstly welcome to the forum Generally speaking the questions and answers on this forum relate to the British Bankruptcy laws but quite often the laws are very similar in other countries. Generally speaking , just because you have th ehouse reposessed doesn't mean you Have to go BR, if there is a shortfall on the mortgage you are then pursued and are expected to pay the difference This is unless the laws are really different in Canada!!!
