I live with my partner, I'm not on the mortgage but I pay bills directly and I am on the electoral register as living here, will my partner or the property be affected if I declare myself bankrupt? The actual debt is still in my parents address, even though it is my personal debt will either my parents property or my partners be affected?

Hi Lia and welcome to the forum

Does your partner own the property you are living in, and how long have you lived together at this address?

It is unlikley that any party will be affected by your bankruptcy, but this cannot be ruled out so they may need to file Notices of Disassociation with you at the credit referencing agencies.

For an informal chat about any financial difficulties, or advice as to the options available, I can be contacted via my website - www.melaniegiles.com
