I became bankrupt on 22 april 2009. I went to bank to withdraw my income support payment on the 30th of april to find that my account had been frozen. The following morning i contacted the official reciever who faxed the bank asking them to release the funds, as it was for living expenses. I have contacted the bank approx 6 times and still have not had money released. While i was in the bank a member of staff told me they had 5 days to sort it out. It has now been 7 working days, can you tell me if they have to release money within a time limit and what i can do as i have had no income for over 2 weeks.

Hi

I'm afraid all you can do is persist with the chase and keep onto the bank.

I hope you didnt owe this particular bank anything in your bankruptcy as you may not see the funds again.
