Is there a rough time guideline for bankruptcy from day 1 until you out of the other side as in free to start again? Mainly I also mean from day 1 until i have to leave my home, which will be repossessed?

Hi

bankruptcy has no bearing on the timeline for repossession as that is in the lender's hands not the Official Receivers.

Hi

you would normally be discharged on the 1st anniversary of your bankruptcy order.
The OR has to deal with everything during that time with the exception of property (house / flat etc) which he has 3 years to deal with.

The order starts on the day you are declared BR by the judge so if you were declared BR today (13th May 2009) then you would automatically be discharged on 13th May 2010.
