Hi, I am looking to go bankrupt two questions.

For the ipo(disposable income I will have to pay back) I am a sales rep I have a guarmteed basic, but also recieve bomus payments that are not guarnteed, dont hit target I will not get bonus. Will they just count my basic pay?

2. my missus has a car worth about 6000 which she needs to travel the 60mile round trip to work will she have to sell this?

Regards

Hi Steve,

Welcome to the forum,

1. The IPO/IPA will take into account your disposable income for the monthly payments they could then include any overtime, commission or bonus on top of this therefore you would need to declare this and pay this across to them.

2. If it is only you going Bankrupt then her car will be safe.

The OR works out salaries on an averaging basis over a 13 week period. If you dip below the average in the future, then you can apply to have the payments reduced.

For an informal chat about any financial difficulties, or advice as to the options available, I can be contacted via my website - www.melaniegiles.com
