Due to unemployment I cannot meet minimum payments on my unsecured debts.
I shall have to write to my creditors next week informing them of the situation.

How long do you think it will be before bailiffs arrive at my door.

Telling the kids about this is going to be so hard.

Hi

If you intend to go bankrupt then you should not have a visit from the bailiff as long as you state this to creditors. Bailiffs are usually court appointed and so you would receive notice from the court that action is being taken. The only other bailiffs as far as I am aware are those who act for councils for council tax, but you would still be aware of action being taken before a visit.

please be aware that you do not hav to let the baliffs in unless it is criminal ie council tax, dont let any others in no matter what they say and do not sign anything! also most of them arnt that scary and will giv u chance to sort things out.
