Whilst waiting for the OR to contact me do I need to open a bank account of my own?
My wages have been paid into my husbands account for the last two years during my IVA.
Will I need an account of my own for the OR to see or can I continue to use my husbands?

As far as I'm aware there isn't a problem with you using your husband's account, but have you thought about opening a Co-op Cashminder account?

Hee hee - you should be on commission for the co-op!! Yes I have thought about a Co-op account but don't really want to open another account unless the OR needs me to - if that makes sense. I would end up swopping money between accounts and having to move direct debits/pay etc

Sorry, it wasn't meant to sound like that!

I don't see that the OR would have a problem with you using your hubby's account - I thought I was going to have to do that at one point and was told (by my IP I think) that it wouldn't be a problem. I don't know if the OR will want to see your hubby's statements for the last couple of years - over to the experts!

Certainly worth getting back on your on two feet with your own bank account so you have some independance etc.

Strongly suggest the COOP CASHMINDER account.

Thanks, I think I will! I haven't had an account for over two years now so it may be worth the initial hassle of sorting direct debits etc. I have nothing to show the OR in the way of bank account statements just have payslips.
Do you think I should ask the OR what they would like to see going through the bank account? I only earn £435 a month and am obviously reliant on my husbands income/contribution for the household expenses etc.

You may want to show the OR the last 3 bank statements but I am sure they would be happy with your P60 plus 3 or 4 payslips.

If you were in an IVA it is unlikely that the OR would wish to see you so you may just want to get some info to hand so you can answer Q's easily when they phone to have a chat.
