hi all, I went bk in may 08 and was discharged in nov. out of the blue I have received a credit card statement from halifax which was one of my creditors demandingthe full balance of my debt with them. this was declared on my soa and I have heard nothing from them before this since my bk. should I be worried?
If the debt was included in the BR then it would have been written off. Is this the first time they have contacted you since you declared BR or have they previously chased you for this debt?
There have been a couple of other people who have mentioned that they have also received similar bills after declaring BR. When they have contacted the creditor to advise they declared BR the creditor has mentioned that they will continue to send them a yearly bill until the debt falls off their credit file.
This may or may not be the same thing but give them a call and advise you were declared BR in May 08.
