Me and the wife are goinging b/r At the moment we trying to get some money .If one of us go b/r say now and other 2 months time how do there sort out joint debts

Hi,

If one of you declares BR then any joint debts will pass to the person who isn't BR. Once the 2nd person declares BR then these debts will be included in their BR.

If one of you is going to wait a bit, presumably to gather together the fees, then just ignore the letters you will get about the joint debts.

You are both jointly and severally liable for the joint debts, but once you are both br, as gettingoutofdebt says, all the debts will be included.

The glimmer gets brighter all the time
