put simply can they take pc's from you? as they contain personal and confidential information! i would have thought this was against the data protection act?
well they can have them but i will remove the hard drives first!!!
Hi PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE relise that the only people allowed in your home are the following... 1) Police with a Warrant 2) Customs & Excise. 3) The Gas or Electric companys who are dealing with an emergency 4) A Court Bailiff with a Posession Warrant for the property
NO-ONE BUT NO-ONE ELSE CAN ENTER YOUR PROPERTY UNLESS YOU INVITE THEM IN! Beware the devious little bar stewards use a number of methods such as "can I have a drink of water, you go and get one leaving the door open and hey presto! they are in. Or they show up with a Police Officer. He will only be there because the Bailiff claims to have been threatned. If he asks to come in just say NO! He simply cannot come in without your permission unless there is an open window or door
I am 100% certain of these facts tell em to p-ss off and close the door
The OR can take PC's although they rarely take personal ones as stated above as they have little value. The only ones they really take are ones with information pertaining to the bankruptcy, for instance the office computor from a business. The OR is exempt from certain parts of the DPA as it is their job to investigate. They have a special department to make evidential copies of digital data just like the police. Rest assured if you just have a personal pc they are very unlikly to want it
