i have been given early discharge after declaring bankruptcy sept 2008-- now i am trying to get a bank account which will let me have a debit card (im disabled on benifits and need to shop online as cant drive and too ill to get out much) i called natwest, gave all my details and need for debit
card and have an app on friday! is this usual?

you can apply for a Natwest step account or Co-operative Bank cash minder account or indeed Barclays basic Abbey basic most basic accounts have a debit card but you need to open an account where you did not have any debt that was included in your bankruptcy

If you have a problem getting an account with a debit card, you can always try using a prepaid card which is widely accepted online and you won't be turned down for it.
