We only went BR 2 weeks ago and my husband was unemployed but it looks like there may be a job offer in the pipeline for him fingers crossed. He will be picking up about £1000 per month, but childcare will cost £600 for a day nursery, he will be paying approx £100 a month in travel expenses, we will need a bit extra in our clothing budget for steel capped boots and overalls etc and he will also need money for meals at work obviously he will no longer get £64 a week benefits so in reality we won't really be any better off apart from the fact my husband won't be fed up out of his mind being stuck at home all day with our little boy. He loves him dearly but says he isn't cut out to be a stay at home dad! How will the OR view the fact he is working but we probably still won't have any spare money to pay an IPA?

The OR needs to review this change in circumstances and will be practical in the application of increased expenditure. If there is a significant increase in 'disposable income', then there's likely to be a request to pay some of this towards the BR estate, but not all of it. The OR can advise you on how much - if any - of the surplus you would be asked to offer if you contact them with an estimate of what you expect the increased DI.

Good luck with the job offer!

The OR will probably send you a new I&E to complete and you will be able to include things like travel to/from work, maybe increase the clothing, childcare, etc.

You have to inform the OR within 21 days of becoming aware of the change in income so once your husband gets the job (I'm sure he will) contact the OR to let them know.

Hi, as the above post states after the change happens inform your OR and they will normally send you form IPOQ out to fill in, this is like Section 7 of the forms you filled in for the court at the start of your bankruptcy
