How long does bankruptcy stay on your credit file for and does the court contact all companies which I owe money to?

Hi

everything stays on your credit file for 6 years ( defaults, missed payments, Br etc )

The job of contacting your creditors is undertaken by the Official Receivers Office - the court are there to grant the petition and make sure you know what you are doing
