I have two thousand pounds in an unplanned overdraft, one thousand pounds to pay back to a loan. Both are with Lloyds. I pay back £200 in total for both a month. My partner and I are both on JSA, and we have an eight month old baby. We recieve child tax credit for the little one, but it ALL goes to pay back Lloyds. I'm really struggling, I can't find work due to epilepsy, and my partner has tried everything. I need help. I think bankruptcy may be the only way. We rent privately, but recieve full housing benefit, because of the little one. I only owe Lloyds (thank god) but no one can help me because I owe less than two creditors. Can YOU help?
With such a small amount of debt and no assets, you should be eligible for the new Debt Relief Orders. If you have less than £50 disposable income per month after priority payments have been made then you should be able to do this. It will only cost you £90.
Give either CAB or Baines and Ernst a ring as I think both of those can sort you out.
