Many people continue with their phone contract, but it all depends on the costs - you will only be able to calim a maximum £40 per month for a mobile phone and if your contract is more than that per month it may be better to cancel and have the shortfall under the contract (they will bill you for the remainder of the contract payments)included in the bankruptcy. You will then need to get a pay as you go phone.

If the contract is £40 or under you may as well continue with it, if there is no bankruptcy clause in the contract

Newbee - provided you are under the £40 allowance for a mobile phone you should not have a problem just explain to the OR you ahev a phone in your name thorugh your job.

You should be fine Hallway. As long as you stay with the same company and just upgrade with them and keep up the payments, they don't credit check you.

I'm in an IVA and have just upgraded with O2 with no problems at all.
