Hello Ellie18,

I have been BR since may this year and it is hard - having taken the initial step, it will get easier - many much more aware of things than I am say that too - hang in there and support each other.

I also say use this forum as much as you feel is necessary - people will come back to you with advice, encouragement and simply to support you (That is all I am doing now) - I hope it helps.

We all have second thoughts - it is a big step - now though look forward. I email my contact at the local OR office and they are very helpful.

My simple philosophy in life is: "There are no problems, only solutions" Think that way and I am sure you will get by,

By best to you, Richard

Hi

As a start to working on your expenditure just write down what you actually spend on everything now. If you want to, post the figures on here and there are plenty of people here to help you if you have missed something off, or if some of the figures are higher than the OR usually allows.

I know it seems daunting, you are going into unfamiliar territory afterall, but take one thing and one day at a time and you will get through it. Many of the posters on here have already made the journey and are always willing to offer a helping hand.

hi ellie, this is a link to the OR website listing everything that can be claimed(or not), granted it's not the most entertaining read but is worth a look, if you can't handle that (its a bit on the long side) then post individual enquiries and some one will give you an answer
