Good Morning,
I am aware presently the OR's are very busy, but i went bankrupt on May 3rd and still have had no contact regarding this.
Is this normal for the present climate?

Kind Regards
Gary

That's a bit of a long wait but it may be a that the OR doesn't need to contact you as your case is straight forward and you wouldn't have an IPA implemented.

You could always call the OR to check if everything is ok but I always prefer to let sleeping dogs lie....

Hi Gary

Only risk of sitting back and waiting is that somehow your contact details were taken down wrong and they have tried and failed to contact you. This could mean a suspension of discharge if they think you are not co-operating.

A quick phone call should sort it, and you don't really want to be forgotton as you may get passed over for an early discharge.

I was told that if I hadn't heard from the OR in 10 days I should contact them. I would definitely give them a call, as you don't want to run into trouble later on.

Hi Guys,

Well i have contacted the OR office and must admit a little confused!
I have been told all the admin work has been completed and they are looking at an early discharge at the end of this month.
So has anyone else been through this without any interview? or is that next to come?

Many Thanks
Gary

You won't have an interview if you haven't already. There are different 'types' of cases and yours is Type 0:

PART 3

11.35 Categorisation of cases

Type 0. These are cases where a view is taken that there is no essential information to be gathered and that the necessary recommendations can be made and instructions given without any need to contact the bankrupt. An interview is unnecessary.

The reason for the insolvency is fully explained in the statement of affairs, and no further information is needed from the bankrupt in respect of any asset or IPA/IPO matters to be dealt with.

Check the Insolvency Register (http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/eiir/) towards the end of the month to see if you have been discharged as you don't always get a letter telling you.
