Felt very nervous first thing this morning but we couldn't have asked for a more nicer, non judgemental person to do our interviews. Quite stressful going through the debt list but having previously taken out an iva, seem to make it simpler somehow. Not an experience we enjoyed but it was nowhere near as bad as we thought it was, infact it wasn't bad at all..and it is looking like we will not be getting an IPA either, but will have confirmation of this over the next few days. Also allowed to keep car (only worth about £1500). No news on buying back BI yet as different department but looks promising.

So anyone waiting for their OR meeting, it is not as bad as you think I promise

I know most people, including myself, only start to feel relaxed once the OR interview is over. I was more nervous about it than going to court to declare BR but my OR was also very non-judgemental as most seem to be.

It's good news about the car and not getting an IPA and I'm sure buying back the BI will go just as smoothly.

Goodluck to you now you are BR - you have joined a growing body, I can assure you.No longer is it a stigma - it is a reality in our difficult times...

I went BR in May (9 months to go to being discharged).

We lost two family business - very stressful and I dod not want to go through it ever again - my interview was over 10 hours (an exception - if not a record from what people have said)

At the end when I was leaving the officel; he shhok my hand and said: "There was no other choice for you and bankruptcy is designed for people who have got into difficulty ... and you will recover. I do not asy this very often, but you can call me T****" (his first name). I have to say i was amazed and phoned friends and my wife - it was a trauma - but Not the worst experience of my life so far...

My motto: "Thjere are no problems, only solutions..." I really hope that simple sentence works for you now and in the future.

My regards, Richard

I'm glad it went well. Like Gettingoutofdebt I didn't feel relaxed until I'd got the interview over and done with, but after that things seemed to improve and the 12 months went quickly.

Richard, you should make that your signature!
