how long does it take for a creditor to make you bankrupt, also can you offer a payment of instalments to the court

Hi gte and welcome to the forum

If they started action against you tomorrow, they could probably secure a bankruptcy order within two months at the earliest, although some courts take much longer as they have busy lists.

If you cannot pay the debt in full, and bankruptcy has been applied for, the Court will not allow you to pay in instalments.
