if you do the forms yourself you will only pay the bankruptcy fee which is £510 if someone does them for you they will charge a fee and this can vary from company to company from what i have heard.

if your bankruptcy is straight forward it is easy to do yourself as the forms are quite simple as long as you have all your info at hand.

hi,

I agree with Srrs. The forms are designed for ease to complete. You can obtain the forms online or go to your local county court and get hard copies - if you do it that way ask for a couple of copies.

If you are sure that BR is right for you, you can use this forum for questions - all free and plenty of experts and people who are or have been BR.

I am not qualified to give any technical advice on the pros and cons of BR - However, I am always on the site every day and pleased to share my experience so far - always happy to offer some suggestions when looking for accommodation or about certain aspects related to property. Again, many who post gere are in the profession so you will be sure to get honest answers.

In summary, as has been said many times, if you are certain BR is right - then it is not ove complicated and generally, if your in a straight forward position, you do not need to pay someone to do it for you. If you are prepared to pay if you are not confident, then Paul and Melanie who post here most days are worth talking to or post a question for them

Good luck, Richard

Have a try completing the forms yourself. They are pretty easy and there is plenty of help from people on this board.

The forms are located at http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/forms/englandwalesforms.htm. You need forms 6.27 and 6.28 and there is a guidance form as well for more information.
