Hi

i have been burying my head in the sand for far too long and shredding unopened post etc. I've made the decision to go bankrupt and haven't got a clue to whom I owe what-I know it's stupid of me! Is there any way for me to find out debts listed against my name? Too scared to phone up my crditors or answer the phone!

You can check your credit file. There are 3 agencies that have your file and you should check each one; equifax, experian, CallCredit.

Don't worry about burying your head in the sand as we have all done it. You made a decision to see exactly what your financial status is and that is a good start.

Thankyou. it's a very stressful worrying time but feel I am finding my way out. Did find a company but found to my horrer 3 CCJs I didn't know about. But actually in retrospect it's a good thing as it means that we have no equity in the house so can carry on living in it
