When I had my OR interview I explained I was in the process of getting divorced and asked if this would be taken into account with my IPA etc because of the costs involved, the OR I spoke was not sure and is referring it to a senior OR official. Does anyone her know if I can claim for divorce costs or not, the problem being I cant say how much it will cost until it is finished.

A lot of solicitors these days will allow you to pay for your divorce costs on a monthly basis, and this expenditure will likely need to come from your share of the disposable income left with you by the OR.

For an informal chat about any financial difficulties, or advice as to the options available, I can be contacted via my website - www.melaniegiles.com
