Just recieved a letter from Am EX saying they have recieved notification that my insolvency has been successful. and that any balances will be passed onto an external collections agency who will take appropritate collection action and that they are legally able to issue me with a default notice.
As am not in debt with them, am assuming this is a standard letter sent automatically but are creditors allowed to still chase for payment once bankrupt ???
No, creditors can't chase once you are BR. If this 'external collection agency' calls just provide them with your BR details (OR's contact details, hearing number, etc.) and if they continue to pester you just inform the OR and forward any letters they send you.
