Trying To Understand Nil Tax !

If I dont have any money left after over each month according to my I&E statement, I cant get an IPA , correct?

I pay about £300 income tax each month , I could be given a nil tax code and have to pay this money to Moon Beaver ( who thought of this name ? ) for the remainder of the tax year but this would not relate in any way to my IPA , correct ?

Thanks in advance !

I believe that is correct. You just pay across your tax, and if you have no IPA that will be all you pay.

The glimmer gets brighter all the time

Yes that's right, you will only get a 'normal' IPA if you have more than £99 disposable income each month.

BTW the name Moon Beaver brings out my childish side and always makes me snigger!

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.
