Hi everyone,
Since going bankrupt in March, the family business as closed down. Since then i've been unemployed and receiving JSA. I'm unable to afford my accounts fees to prepare my trading accounts, which are due in January 2010.
Does anyone know, where i might get free help putting them together?
Or do them for me?
Thanks inadvance
Dean.

Hi Dean
I'm in a similar position to you - trying to get professional help without funds/assets. I have tried going via BusinessLink and the local business start-up organisation that helped me to get some help but so far without success but you may have better luck in your area so it may be worth a call or email. I haven't yet gone bankrupt although it seems like the best option financially - it's the "everything else" that concerns me.
It's situations like ours that is making me look at some sort of business failure support network similar to Alcoholics/Gamblers Anonymous where a buddy system helps you to find your way through the minefield financially, socially, psychologically etc - the web is great (this site, piggybankrupt etc) but sometimes you need someone knocking on your door to get you out, even if just for a moan over a pint. If you have time, I'd welcome your thoughts on **links removed**
I'll keep you posted if with any developments from my side and would appreciate likewise for the accounts issue.
Good luck
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
Thank you for your kind advise,
I've contacted business link and other so called help organisations, but still no help or guidance!
I'll end up doing them myself, i've done the basic books for the last 14 years, so it shouldn't too difficult?.
By the way bankruptcy isn't that bad, Ok in my case i've lost everything, business, house, the list goes on....
But i've got my health and a great family, it's just depends how you deal with it. Head up and shoulders back and show everyone you can bounce back that's what i tell myself each day, and remember there's always someone worse off then you.
Best wishes.
Dean.
