Following my bankruptcy order and on the ORs instructions I resigned my directorship and put my Ltd company into liquidation, where it is currently pending being struck-off.
Even though I have informed the HMRC (they appear to ignore all correspondence) they are still sending my previous company demands and fines for accounts, PAYE/NIC, CT and CIS. As this company has ceased trading and I certainly have no funds to prepare accounts or pay fines or clear anything that is outstanding do I have anything to be concerned about?
Obviously having been chased by numerous collection agencies over the last couple of years prior to bankruptcy I have developed a pretty thick skin but was really hoping the threatening phone calls would stop... (HMRC's favorite is "You have until 8pm Tomorrow to call us back" - not sure what the or else is but am just ignoring it as per my best practise of only dealing with matters in writing)
The debts should be included in your BR so there is no need to worry. If HMRC won't listen to you and keep forwarding you demands then speak to the OR and forward the letter on to them so they can contact HMRC.
