Hi

I am still recieving credit statements from Bank of Scotland nearly 12 months after bankruptcy, requesting payment.

I phoned them and they said that it is their policy to send statements out every six months if there is an outstanding balance on the account, although they are not expecting payment.

I do not understand where they are coming from. Bank of Scotland are wasting money by sending these statements out because they were included in my bankruptcy.

Are they also break the law by sending these statements out requesting money?.

I wanted to out all this behind me but they but they still hassle me.

I was going to write to them but is it worth it.

I really wouldn't worry about it. They can't do anything at all.

Just write to them and tell them when you were made bankrupt, you won't be paying them and any other communication constitues harrassment.

The glimmer gets brighter all the time

Debtrider I wouldn't waste the money on a stamp writing to them. There is no need anyway. I had the same thing with a couple of my creditors and they both said there was some new Government ruling telling them to do this. I am sure one of the experts will be along to clarify for you.

I only ever got the one from them and never heard from them again.
