Hi all,

Been BR since end of June and still cant believe the amount of relief i feel daily from doing the right thing.

I just have a question, I have not heard from OR much other than at begging for interview and he advised i would get a NT IPA - i am still paying tax but a few weeks ago signed the NT IPA with or.

I have since had a letter from moon beever asking for three wage slips (believe this is par for the course) but just wandered if this meant the OR was wrapping up his investigation into my affairs or just procedure.

Any advice is much appreciated Cheers

Hi theguvner

I no what you mean with the feeling of relief!!, with regard to the OR, and Moonbeever, unfortunately, takes time, hubby and i were made bankrupt end of may and hubby got a nil tax code in place only last month, its nearly the end of this month and still waiting on Moonbeever to let us no how much to pay as hubby works o. time and wage varies each month, (they send you a form to fill in for a standing order with the bank) they also told us to keep sending in the pay slips until further notice. Long winded i no especially with the extra money in the bank that you can't touch (its like telling the fat kid to hold the jelly donut but not eat the dam thing, i no because i'm that fat kid!!! lol) but yes its just part of procedure i'm afraid you could be looking at December, before things get moving hope that helps, good luck, nicky

Cheers for that Nicky, guess its just a matter of waiting.

have you any news on if you will get an early discharge.

thanks again for your post, it all helps. . .i find i have days when i start thinking about it all and worrying about silly things like because i havent heard from OR there must be a problem and i dare not call them in case im sticking a twig in a hornets nest.

But on the otherside i look how different my life is compared to six months ago and realise when you get to the bottom you can only go up.

Hi, yes we're filling in the forms for early discharge, they want to know the income and expenidture info again, apparently the OR and co can ask for this info anytime while you're BR upto your release date. I was the same thinking why is it taking so long but i think there are a lot of us out here in the same situation and theres not enough bodies in the offices to cope with us all!! for us we didn't realise just how much we relied on those darn credit cards and when you only have a income to survive on, my goodness does it open your eyes on the plus side its nice not to be robbing peter to pay paul every month, keep posting and let us know how you get on, take care nicky

Hi Both, Thats nice to know, My wife and I were made bankrupt on 8 th of June and have been sending her payslips to moon beaver, I'm not working at the moment, She stopped paying tax about 3 weeks ago and we have been putting that money aside, I guess that we keep sending the payslips to moon beaver and wait for them to tell us how and when to pay them ? regards-Mark

Hi Mark, its just a waiting game i'm afraid with Moonbeaver, they must be really busy, don't no if your ipa will be backdated to when your wife got the nil tax code and extra in her pay packet though it probably will be can't see them letting us have it somehow, good luck, nicky

Hi,

Just to reiterate that yes, you must keep the extra money that you are no longer paying in tax from the time your nt code is implemented to the time it is collected by Moonbeever. It can and does take a while, but you MUST keep it so it is available to them when they request it.

Unlike a normal IPA which isn't backdated, you must keep the money from an NT IPA to one side until it's collected.

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.
