Make sure you mention this account to the OR, and you should be able to continue using it.
I assume this account/Bank are BR friendly?

Does it have an OD facility?

Barclays are usually BR friendly and the cash card account is one of the 2 accounts (the other being the Co-op Cashminder) that is regularly available to bankrupts.

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

Hi All
Barclay's were one of my creditors,
they sent me a letter offering me a basic account,
So I agree they are BR friendly,

All the best

Hi Kelly, dont put your new Barclays account on the BR forms and just mention it to the OR when you have your interview that you have opened this new account.

Hi Kelly,

One of the forum experts answered a similar post last week, and the advice was that if you owe NO debt to Barclays then do not mention it on the form, and you will be ok.

Gd luck and let us know how you go.

Hi Kelly, there is no need to put it on the form. Just mention that you are using this account to the OR when you have your interview with them.

Hi Kelly,
I have a cash card account with Barclays, it's their only account you can have while bankrupt. I have a normal debit card, so i can still buy things online. Though you cant have online banking while bankrupt for some reason, which is daft, as its not as if im asking for a loan or anything, just to keep a check on what i've got in my account!
