Hi, I have completed and printed my SofA today and will call the court tomorrow for an appointment. After reading some of the Q&As on here I can see I have made two errors. Some of my debts have been sold on but I did not mention this on the SofA - will this present a problem? Secondly, a major part of my debt is with Nat West and although I stated this I did not enter the bank account details in the section where it asked for bank accounts held. Can someone please advise me? Dawn.

Hi Dawn,
Enter the information for the Debt collection companies who have purchased the debt in the additional pages section of the SOA.
If you can enter in the ban account details for Natwest on the form.

Hi Brett, many thanks for your reply. I will add the details for the new debt owners but do I put the Nat West account details with my TSB bank details? Should I inform the TSB that I am declaring bankruptcy before I go to the court? I do not have an overdraft or debit card with them. I have also realised I have forgotten to add an old mobile phone bill and my DD for the TV Licence, can I also add them to the paper before I hand it to the court? |

Morning Dawn Yes - you list everyone you have a debt with in section 4 - banks, loans, credit cards etc. You then list the cards in section 5.2 and the bank accounts in 5.4. Include all your old debts - whatever they are. The DD for your TV licence comes out of your household expenses so you'll need to add it to your other essential payments in section 7. Hope that makes sense. Good luck!

Hi Dawn,
Yes enter the Natwest details in with the TSB details in this section.
Any other debt that come to light enter in section 4, however if you run out of room use the additional information pages at the back.

Dawn
Everyone seems to have given you good advice. However do not fret too much if you have omitted to mention a creditor. If the debt was incurred prior to your bankruptcy it will automatically be included with a few exceptions such as student loans, CSA payments and fines. |

Good Morning Vicki and Brett. Thank you both for your help and advice. I will add the information I had omitted on the original SofA but I was just concerned that when I completed the forms on the internet I was advised the original has been stored on the OR's database and could not be altered. Could you please tell me if I can call my creditors to advise them of the situation as soon as I have an appointment at the court? Many thanks for your help. x |

Thank you Blackie..... I have also noticed that I made a slight error on the 'outgoings' page and for some odd reason wrote that I pay £15 for fines - this is not the case and I have no idea how I put that in. Will this be a problem? |

Hi Dawn,
Not to worry if there have been any errors just make sure you inform the OR of these during your interview.
When you go to court you can explain this to the bankruptcy clerk and they will make the alterations with you before you swear in your affidavit.
As far as informing your creditors you can let them know, but it may not stop contact from them altogether until they here from the OR.
