Could someone please clarify this for me. If you have £99 or less you get to keep it all, however if you have £100 you only get to keep 50% of it therefore only keeping £50, is that right or am I reading it wrong.
That's right Charlie! Doesn't seem to make sense does it? It's right though, which is why it's important to get your SOA checked carefully to try to aviod being too close to the £100 if possible!
Yes that's absolutely right Charlie. If your wife's income is totally made up of benefits, she won't get an IPA. If yours isn't, then you'll need to look carefully at your I and E to make sure you're claiming all allowable expenses.
