You should put down the actual figure that you actually spend but the guideline figures for 2 adults/2kids are:

Food - £504
Clothes - £156

so you can put slightly more down for the extra child.

Hi Cherie,

Why not speak with a forum expert like Melanie Nichols @ http://www.jonesgiles.co.uk/index.htm
They will discuss the best solution for your particular situation.

GD luck.

Cheire,
If ou do not owe any money to A&L, and it as no credit facilities the account will be ok. Do not put it down on the BR form, but mention to the OR during interview.

Gd luck.

As far as I'm aware A & L aren't BR friendly so I would be careful. A while ago they froze the account of someone on the IVA forum and they had problems getting their money.

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

Hi cherie.ge

Just to say I went to the A & L to open their basic account - was not BR at that time (a week away).

The staff looked down on me first of all - I was not going BR at that stege - just wanted a "simple" account.

Anyway, did go BR - got my "welcome pack" and it said no undischarged BRs (as they are like scum) my words in parenthasis!! They did not say that - but it was implied...

So I went BR and the next day to the Co-op and the account was open -I said I was undischarged BR and was told that most of their new business was that!!

She made me feel important - I have so say I had in my business dealt in seven figures through the accounts in a year - so it was nice to be made welcome with pennies going into the account - They are the same on the phone - if there was an award - Co-op would qualify

Good luck, Richard

Cherie,

Have a look at the following link. It will give you some idea of what is accepted by the OR.

http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/DocumentLibrary/Policy/Excel/Household%20Expenditur.xls
