It is actually quite rare for a Judge to refuse to grant a bankruptcy order, but I have seen it if they feel that you could afford to pay your creditors or propose an IVA. To this end it is usually better to have sought professional advice with regard to your options prior to making the application, as Judge's usually want to know whether you have or have not.
