Hi Sub - welcome to the forum.
I am not an expert (one will be along soon) but I do know that if you are on certain benefits you are exempt from the court fee which is £150 of the £495. Check with the court they will advise you if you are.
Other than that you need to find the money or wait for a creditor to petition for your bankruptcy.
Hope that helps - you'll find this forum really friendly and helpful
Take Care

Hi Sub,
I am on working tax credit (without the childcare element) and qualified for the £150 reduction. You must make sure any paperwork confirming benefits is NO older than 30 days,so if you do get a court date booked phone the benefits agency and ask themto send you out a new copy asap.
