Hi, i went BR on the 17th of August, and although statements and letters have stopped by my other creditors, i am still receiving statements from my Littlewoods catalogue. I told them weeks ago about becoming BR, but thats not stopped them. My account must be closed though, because i can no longer log in to this account online. What should i do? send the latest statement to my OR, phone Littlewoods again, or just wait and see if they stop?

Hi

These creditors (very, Littlewoods etc are awful and do not listen. My wife who is not BR is taking them to the Financial Ombudsman about their attitude.

I think I would drop them a not to say they are a creditor listed in your BR and that they should not keep sending you letters - quote your BR reference in your letter.

If they still do not stop let the OR know and they will deal with them for you.

Do not stress if they are in your BR they cannot do anything to you!

just the contact can be sress alone!!!!!!!!!
when they naext contact you advise them that your financial affairs are with the OR it is illegal for them to demand money from you and it would be ilegal for you to pat them, also advise them that any further contact will be deemed as harassment and they will be reported to the OR and should they not wish to lose their consumer credit licence they will desist.

Thanks for that, i might wait and see if another one comes next month. I've not had any phone calls from them, so maybe it takes time for the information to get to the right dept. If i do get another, then i'll send it to my OR, as i cant face ringing them to tell them my situation again!

Nick,

These calelogues (particulary Very Trading as littlewoods) A couple of so called "debt collectors are so rude and ignore the law and the proptocaols after BR - They could risk having their CCC licence revoked.CCCS and the CVAB said pay them £1.00 per month - she is paying them £8.00 £10.00 per month

The only good catelogue company is "Studio" they came to an arrangement straight away and are as good as can be.

My wife Sue is taking, Very, Egg, Littlewoods and Grattan to the Ombudsman - they are working...

I suggest to you that you keep them on the ball and good luck and keep us updated - they should not be in contacvt now you are BR as said in my earlier posts and Chester has said the same to you
