when i was working i took loans from my bank for 20,000 pounds in twp parts i e 10,000 loans. the last being for help towards my dughters wedding. i had payment protection and this is now paying my payments until june 2010. as i was made redundant in may 2009. i am now in receipt of guarenteed pension credits, i have tried unsuccessfully to obtain employment without success, and there is no way i can pay back this loan without full time employment. my d.o.b. 16-05-1946. can i declare bankrupcy? i rent my property and have no valuable assetts. thank you, patrick

If you are insolvent then you are able to declare BR. I would suggest speaking to the CAB, CCCS or National Debtline to confirm this is the best option for your but if you are unemployed then it sounds like it is the only option.
