Just like to take the opportunity to congratulate 'Housing' (a fantastic member and contributor on this forum)and his wife on celebrating 31 years of marriage today!!!
It is lovely to hear of someone in this day and age reaching 31 years together particulary with the added stress of debt, to still be together (and i have it on good advice ) still in love with each other is a fantastic achievement. Far too often 'when debt comes in through the door, love goes out through the window' so well done to the both of you, sadly I cannot call in for a glass this evening, nor drop off welsh cakes!!!, but will definately raise my mug of tea and wish you the warmest of congratulations to you both XXX

Thank you so much Melanie
I am blushing now and am so pleased to have your coments when I have needed to think outside the box.
I am very lucky - espectally this year - I am sure our 32nd anniversary will be a bit more relaxed.
By the way, you would always be welcome at our house if you ever visit the Plymouth office - (with the Welsh cakes in your hand!)
diolch yn fawr iawn, Richard xx

Hi Richard P (I too am Richard P!!)
Am doing the CAB training as a volunteer - it is enjoyable and may lead to something.
My professional life I was an estate agent a letting agent and a one time Director of Housing for a local authority and a national housing consultant (yawn!!) (my own businesses - apart from the Director of housing!!)
At 57, it is not easy - but I remain enthusiastic and hopeful - am in with a chance of a couple of jobs at the moment.
I am always happy to try to pass on some life and professional experiences - I am following your postings too - we could be the Richard mutual appreciation society!! Seriously, times are bad - I never thought I would be a BR - but, as I say, we are where we are...Plenty worse off than us
Thanks for the congrats on the anniversary - 1978 was a long time ago!! 4 daughters and two (and nearly three) grandchildren - and a world of great experiences..
regards, Richard

Thank you so much Rosie
You are very kind - I look at my situation and see so many people in a far worse position - so I do my best to assist where I can.
I hope that your situation is getting better each day and continues to do so.
We had a nice quiet day and enjoyed being married yesterday - saw our granchildren and that in itself helped.
tahke care, Richard & Sue xx

You've been a big help to a lot of people on the forum Richard, it really wouldn't be the same without you.
31 years is a long time and I'm so glad that you've supported each other throughout the BR x

Hi Skippy,
Thanks - You have helped loads of people too - I am enjoying my training at the CAB at the moment as a volunteer - quite theraputic - just seen my G.P. for my "happy tabs" - he was pleased that I was doing something very worthwhile.
I am half way through my BR now - even if I got an ED, I would stay on this forum as again, it is sharing experiences and it has helped us as a family too.
Normally we are in the sun when it is our anniversary - maybe next year...
Have a good day and hope things are well with you, Richard x

I'm glad you're planning to stick around - people seem to come and go on this forum much more than on the IVA forum so it's good to have some familiar faces!
I'm glad you're enjoying the training, I think you'll make a great adviser.
All is well here thanks apart from a dodgy back and too much work - I'm supposed to be doing that now but I've had enough! I've got my inbox down to 75 emails now so I felt I deserved a break!

No worries! I work for an electronics components company as a sales co-ordinator/account manager. Unfortunately they laid off hundreds of people across the company when things got really bad last year and were taken by surprise by the upturn. We can't meet the customers' demands and I spend my days grovelling and apologising!

Hello Skippy,
Hope the work continues to come in - the Forum would endure a severe loss without your contribution on a regular basis
have a good evening, Richard
