hi was just wondering if anyone can offer advice on this. Seen and heard a few things in the press recently about the whole bank charges lark. Apparently all cases to reclaim charges have now been stopped/suspended but if you are considered to be in financial hardship the banks have been ruled by FSA that they must look at these claims immediatley. I have checked the policy criteria re this "financial hardship" and meet it on a few of their counts .... one of them being are you going bankrupt.
Well i was made BR last month , can i still put in a claim. If i was awarded an element of my charges back would the OR take it from me. Or would the TSB and Natwest simply use the money to repay the overdrawn accounts. No longer use their accounts and have not for some time , i now use the co-op. all charges are with natwest and tsb.
Any info much appreciated

I think that this could be the OR's money.(even say SHOULD)
you may have a good argument if it was solely the charges that made you BR.
if your accounts are /were anything like mine you would have had months of arguments with the banks, you are free from them now, why go back, they wont give you the money without a fight.
are you strong enough to go back to how you mentally felt before BR, I dont think I am ! This might be one of those times when it is better just let it go

been thinking about it today and agree with you , dont want to go back there. im free of them now n dont want to give them the satisfaction of me "begging" money from them.
was just p'd off with everything yesterday.

I think we all have ups and down days, sometimes when you just want to yell at the whole world.
it takes a gentle but friendly nudge from friends to get us back on an even keel.
we all share and try to help each other, as unless you have been in the central arena for BR or been very close to lots of people that have been in the firing line, no one else really knows some of the things that can make you scream !
head up you are over the worse we just have a few challenges left to iron out.. Find one thing to make you smile and enjoy it, isn't your Daughter (?) worth smiling about

some days i think no one really listens let alone understands. Things have been difficult with my little boy lately (he needs an exorcist for xmas not santa) but in fairness he is 3 and guess my stresses will be rubbing off on him , as are my little/no patience.
