BR last month. Lost agency work 2 day after BR so had to put claim in for income support as single parent (3yr old child). Job centre have confirmed that until dec 10th im only entitled to 74p per week as i have qualified for the 4 week run on of my tax credits which would zero out the income support. So my last day at work was mon 9th, only been getting inc supp of 74p a week since then. Tax cred sent letter today saying they will send me giro in 2 week for the money they owe me. I have spoken to tax cred , job centre at length explaining to them i have no money to live on. they admit it was their error and i should have had the money by now but insist there is nothing they can do about it and i have to just be patient. All fine and well for them , inc supp wont give me any money as im supposed to be getting the tax cred money. but the idiots have stopped it already and i have had no money to live on for 4 weeks.
Spoke to my local MP today and they basically said "tough luck" aswel and that i just have to wait.
Disgusting
what am i supposed to do, dont the government set legal minimums that you can live on. yet i have been left with nothing due to their error.
clearly i am just an NI number , not a humman with a 3yr old son who is on the bones of my arse THROUH THEIR INCOMPETANCE and the the need to chew my own legs off and sell them on ebay in the hope of raising enough funds to survive on until the tax credit and job centre pull their heads out of their arses , refrain themselves from drinking coffe, eating donuts and playing solitaire for long enough to even pretend to give a damn !
