Hi Sheila

welcome to the forum

yes under certain cirumstances it is possible to stay in your home when made bankrupt. the amount of equity contained within your property may be a decding factor.

with Bankruptcy there are time frames involved so you will not be booted out staright away, you need to have all avenues looked into before applying for BR (get ducks in order - - )

once you have been made BR the men in white vans cannot turn up at your house as all of your possessions belong to the Official receiver, they will decide what they are going to return to you.

Sheila most of the people on this site have or are going through the same situation, can i please suggest that you make an early contact with Paul @ revivauk (email details to the left) in experts column.

His team have helped my family through this "experience" you will find lots of people on here wanting to share and help

good luck and keep positng regadrs Richard
