| I know the edrev letter says dont ring OR regarding early discharge, but if i was to ring about something else and slip the qurstion in .How do youthink the OR would respond , dont know what i could ask about though |

It would probably depend on:
- their mood
- how their day was going
- how much work they had to do
- etc.
- etc.
It's not really possible to say how they would react. If they are constantly being called by people asking about their ED then they will not be too happy. If you, legitimately, have something else to ask and then mention the ED then it may not be too bad.
Don't forget that an ED is not something to be expected but a bonus. It can also take 6-8 weeks to go through so if it isn't at least 8 weeks since you received the EDREV letter I wouldn't bother calling them. |

For what it is worth, I would not trouble the ORs office at the moment. They are busier than they have EVER been and gettingoutofdebt is right in this regard.
Whilst ED does take place - it is not a right that we have...

I wouldn't call them. In fact when I went BR the advice I was given was not to ask about ED as it might mean I was less likely to get it.
Housing is right, ED is a privilege and not a right, but many people seem to expect it these days. Being BR for 12 months is not the end of the world when you consider that you get a completely fresh start and a lot of money (in most cases) is being written off.
Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

I never for one moment thought I would get ED, but both me and hubby did! (me after 6 months, hubby after 7 months) I did not get an I&E form to fill in as I was not working but hubby did and this generated ANOTHER request for an IPA, we contested it and it was dropped, that is why hubby's ED is later than mine)
I never mentioned ED to the OR and he never said anything about it to me, he was quite stern, so I never even thought about it 
In fact, I was so worrying about getting a BRO/BRU that ED never entered my head!
Personally, I would not ring.
