After weeks of reading this website, my wife and I have today decided to declare ourselves BR. We are cancelling our Direct Debits and looking for property to rent in the area. The final decision was made easier by speaking to Paul Johns and Steve from Reviva, thank you very much guys, talking to you makes me feel at ease with the situation we have found ourselves in. At the end of the day I want the best for my family and me, although i feel guilty in a funny sort of way for being so irresponsible with money but plenty of us do it, when its so easy to get credit.

I would just like to say to anyone reading this website your not alone , dont sit and worry by youself anyone can spend money it takes more guts to stand up and admit your in trouble.

Im looking forward to taking my 3 boys and one more due in October to the zoo or to the beech for the day.

I will keep you posted.................

Thank you Paul & Steve

Good luck to you both.
It's a hard decision to make but from my personal experience it has already made a huge difference to my life.
I can sleep at night, I can enjoy things again, and my debt is gone.
I don't want credit or any sort of debt ever again!!
This forum has been my lifeline -absolutely would never have gone BR without it. It's been a life changing experience.
Hope you have a great summer with your family.

Life is definately easier - I even tidied the shed and stained it today - couldn't be bothered before!
I have had debt problems mounting for years and my IVA didn't take the worry away.
Going BR has its restrictions but they are nothing compared to being able to sleep at night and knowing you have finally sorted your problems out.

You have taken the first step and will have excellent support from Paul.
Good luck

Vicki,

You mention restrictions in your post above, apart from not being able to borrow money and restrictions on certain employment what other restrictions do you mean? Just want to know i am armed with the full facts and not in for any nasty surprises before i apply for BR.

Hi Hammy - yes they are the restrictions I was meaning.
I have no plans to get credit or be an MP just yet!!!
Have a look at the links in the left hand column for more info - bet you have read them already though!
