Hi all,

I thought that I would send warmest seasonal greetings to all those who post on the forum.

This Christmas has been the leanest that I have ever experienced! However, I will try not to let that deter me from enjoying the warmth of my family (especially our new granddaughter Zara) and sharing the gifts that we do have (albeit lesser than in bygone years!)

Some positives as the year ends:

I will be discharged at some time between January 1st and May 19th
I will have no debt overhang this Christmas - what we have bought is all totally paid for (that is a first!)
It is election year in 2010 - Goodbye Dr. Gordon Brown! (Sorry if that is too political - i actually do not support any particular party these days - BUT, I will vote)

I wish everyone a very Happy 2010

Richard

As someone once said "the people who walk round with placards proclaiming the end of the world must be constantly amazed at how calmly everyone is taking the news, until they see what they are like when the shops close for a day, and they realise that its just that no one believes them"

Bit late, but I hope you all had a good one.

Skippy - I know just what you mean. Asda was stupid! Wouldn't mind but the shops are only shut for a couple of days and there is usually a Spar open somewhere!

How much of the food that has been bought will end up in the bin?

The glimmer gets brighter all the time
