Hi All,

We went BR 2 weeks ago and are still getting phone calls from the bank that we owe most money to. I haven't spoken to them but they have left messages on the answer phone asking me to call them back.

I'm not sure if we speak to the bank, inform the OR or just ignore the calls because surely by now the bank must know we are BR.

Any advice is appreciated.

Many thanks

Trog

The OR is so busy that it can take up to 12 weeks for them to inform creditors so the calls may continue for a while.

The same happened to me for the first couple of weeks and I answered the calls and told the creditors that I was BR. They will want the OR's details (i.e. name, office address) as well as the court details and BR case number (i.e. xxx of 2009) and then will eave you alone and presumably contact the OR.

Hi Trog,

Nice to see you back - a Happy New Year to you and yours.

Gettingoutofdebt is right - the ORs are busier than they have ever been...

If it is a landline that they are calling you on - do what I did and have the number changed - make sure you go ex directory (we were already) - it took a few days and our ears were fine and have been ever since - no nasty b`s on the phone!

If you speak to them, then say just what gettingoutofdebt has said - I am BR - this is the court that dealt with it, this is the reference number and please now leave me alone so I can get on with my life!

Good luck, Richard

Hi Trog and Mrs Trog

happy new year and congratulations on BR !

I found that the OR does not contact your creditors for about 3 months.

I have tried to be polite to all of my creditors explain that i am BR (same info as housing stated) but some of them wont stop calling

correct i / you do not have to take the calls.

changing land line or mob tel sometimes works.

the phone calls do die down and eventually stop

good luck regards Richard

Happy New Year to you all.
Well we have our interviews Tuesday morning (over the phone)and have just posted some forms off to the ORs office. I had a look at my catalogue company online, and its still active. The day we went BR we got a letter from Lloyds saying they were prepared to do this that and the other, unreal considering they wouldnt help the past few months. Obviously, I will let you all know how we are getting on with this as we go along.

Hi jackie

it all sounds good news

IF you can try to arrange so that the stronger one of you and Mr Trogg has first interview, the other one sits quietly in the back ground and listens on speaker phone

the second interview will be much shorter and you already have heard the questions so should reply similar to first interview

regards Richard

Good luck Jackie, I'm sure your interviews will be fine, regardless of which one of you is first, I presume the OR will tell you which is which.

Buckle your seat belt Dorothy, 'cos Kansas is going bye bye.
