my wife owns our property on a mortgage. I have personal debts in excess of £117,000. if I go bnkrupt is the house affected?

Hi there and welcome to the forum

That will depend upon a number of factors such as the length of time you have been married, the amount you have contributed to the household since your marriage, your wife's personal financial position and the intention you both had of how to deal with the property and also whether she has benefitted from any of your borrowings.

It's a complex area, and you are better off taking advice directly from a suitably qualified insolvency lawyer.
