Due to poor health over the last couple of years my company has suffered and as a result has accumulated debts with the hmrc and inland revenue, I need to close the company down and declare bankruptcy but don't know where to start or who to turn to.

Hi Builder66,

Sorry to hear about your health and the business.

I suggest you speak to an expert for some initial free advice to see what your best course of action is.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

So sorry to hear of your problems and hope your health improves.

As Viki says, contact an expert to talk things through with. There are a couple on here whose details are on the left hand side of the page. Alternately, speak to your local CAB.

The friend in my adversity I shall always cherish most. I can better trust those who helped to relieve the gloom of my dark hours than those who are so ready to enjoy with me the sunshine of my prosperity. – Ulysses S. Grant

Hi builder66

I, too, am sorry about your health and I am sure that things will turn out okay.
More information about your company is needed and if you are a limited company, you may get away with liquidating the company and save yourself from bankruptcy.

All the very best
