Yes - just make sure the OR knows its there and its your benefit payments you are withdrawing. They will want to write to them and let them know they have no interest in it - will prevent any problems using it in the future.
I had an account I had opened just before BR and my examiner said outright she had no interest in it. Unfortunately the bank had other ideas and closed it but I managed to open a co-op cash minder account the day after BR!
