Posted - 25 May 2008 : 16:00:23 I am self employed. If I have a joint mortgage wih my wife and we both live in the house with our 2 children, aged 2 and 5 can the government still force sale of the house, leaving us without any place to live with the children if I am made bankrupt.

If you are under the threat of Bankruptcy and have equity in your property may I suggest you contact one of the experts to discuss your options.
They will be able to advice you with regard to the process of property dealings in Bankruptcy.

I am afraid that this is very likely if you have equity which could be made available to your creditors, but all circumstances will be taken into account by the Judge.
