Posted - 16 May 2008 : 10:05:45 I didn't realise that Viki! I've still got an account with them that I opened before they changed their policy. I was hoping they might upgrade the account eventually, but it doesn't look likely now.

Are you sure they take Discharged bankrupts?? When I enquired the woman said no to that too, she actually said it quite loud in front of a long queue, very embarrassing!!

Posted - 15 May 2008 : 15:28:22 I think Quidity was £5 a year plus £5 upfront for the card -it was sponsored by one of the daily papers (the mirror I think)- they have a website if you google quidity. Might be a bit cheaper!

Posted - 15 May 2008 : 09:37:50 I have paid is 20p to transfer money from my Tuxedo card to the account to pay the £4.99 fee. There is also a 99p load fee if you top up at the Post Office, although I use bank transfers, which are free.
When the account is set up you get an account and the card. You can choose to put the money into the account and transfer it as you need it, or vice versa. Each transfer costs 20p, so I don't do this very often.
Other than that I can't fault the card - the statement is accurate and updated quickly and they have an 0207 customer service number.

Do you have to pay any other charges with Tuxedo if you pay 4.99 a month, like loading fees, transaction feed? |

I have been accepted for the Cashminder Account just waiting for my stuff so I probably won't need a pre paid it was just another option.

Posted - 14 May 2008 : 12:48:21 I heard about the quidity pre-paid card which seemed to have cheaper charges than the rest - think it's listed on money supermarket. I opted for a co-op cashminder account - just couldn't bring myself to pay for the use of a pre-paid card when I could have an electron card/bank account that did all I needed it to.
