Posted - 21 June 2008 : 00:02:35 Your credit rating will be affected for six years from the date of the making of the bankrutpcy order - so it could be some time before you are offered lending at a sensible interest rate.
For an informal chat about any financial difficulties, or advice as to the options available, I can be contacted via my website - www.melaniegiles.com

Posted - 19 June 2008 : 18:27:56 Hiya , I was bankrupt in 2003 discharged i 2006( i live in Scotland and bankruptcy lasts 3 years here )I've been clear of my discharge for nearly 3 years now and I applied for a cap one credit card 2 months ago and was declined ... I think realistically credit wiil be hard to get until all your defaults, ccj's ( if you have them ) and details of your bankruptcy are removed from your credit file ( 6 years to date of your babnkruptcy ) sorry to be beare of bad news but hope i helped with the info
